Coming Events About Wanda Contact Wanda

itness expert, international presenter, and creator of the Wanda Woman Workout, Wanda Bamberg Tia has devoted her life to fitness and healthy lifestyles for over twenty years. She is well known for her dance-inspired high-energy master classes that have taken her as far as Botswana, Africa.

She has been featured in several magazines, including HEART AND SOUL, ESSENCE, ABOUT TIME, and YOUNG SISTERS AND BROTHERS. In 1995, she was selected as one of the best aerobic fitness leaders by a Washington Post People's Choice survey, and in 1996 she was recognized as one of the great Women of Washington DC for her dedication to fun and safe, quality fitness programs for the community. She has appeared on FIT TV, GOOD MORNING AMERICA, HOME TEAM SPORTS, and most recently on NBC 4(WRC-TV) NEWS in Washington DC as part of a week long series entitled, YOUR OLYMPIC WORKOUT. In addition, in 1993-94, she was one of the first African-American women to be the sole executive producer of her own cable television workout show, The WandaWoman Aerobic Workout.

Wanda has managed, designed and implemented group exercise programs for corporations, government agencies, public and private schools and churches. Her health and fitness forums and seminars for both men and women overflow with attendants.

She presented for the US Public Health Service's Office on Women's Health during the First National Leadership Conference on "Physical Activity & Women's Health" in collaboration with The American College of Sports Medicine and the "Healthy Women 2000" conference. Wanda founded the WandaWoman Dance Exercise Studio in Washington, DC in 1989. She was the first African American woman to create and run her own aerobic dance studio in the Metropolitan area. Her program was new, enlightening and designed from her own personal experiences. In addition to studying the science of physical fitness and instructional techniques, she learned the art of managing a physical fitness center. Her approach brought together men and women of all fitness levels through a creative and nurturing environment, providing uplifting and stress-releasing classes. Within a year, she was already featured on the cover of Health and Beauty News. From there, the accolades continued.
